How to install a GlobalSign OneClick SSL certificate
This article describes how to order and install a GlobalSign OneClick SSL certificate on your Webhost.Berlin account. After installation is complete, users can visit your web site securely by using the https:// prefix in their web browsers.
There are currently two types of GlobalSign OneClick SSL certificates:
- GlobalSign OneClick Alpha SSL
- GlobalSign OneClick Domain Verified SSL
- GlobalSign OneClick SSL certificates are only available for cPanel accounts. If your account does not include cPanel access, then you cannot install a GlobalSign OneClick SSL certificate.
- GlobalSign OneClick SSL certificates require a dedicated IP address. If your account does not have a dedicated IP address, you must order one first before installing a GlobalSign OneClick SSL certificate. For information about how to order a dedicated IP address, please see this article. After you place the order, we will send you an e-mail message that contains the new IP address.
Installing a GlobalSign OneClick SSL certificate
You can quickly and easily add SSL encryption to your web site by installing a GlobalSign OneClick SSL certificate.To do this, you first order the certificate through the Webhost.Berlin Customer Portal. You then receive an e-mail that contains a voucher code. After you redeem the voucher code in cPanel, the certificate is installed and configured automatically.

Ordering the certificate
To order the certificate and obtain a voucher code, follow these steps:
- Log in to the Customer Portal.

- On the menu bar, click and then click :
- In the Categories sidebar, click SSL Certificates.
- Locate the GlobalSign OneClick SSL certificate that you want, and then click Order Now. The Configure page appears.
- In the Choose Billing Cycle list box, select the billing cycle that you want.
In the Domain Name text box, type the domain name that will use the SSL certificate.
Make sure you include the www subdomain (for example, www.example.com). This ensures the GlobalSign OneClick SSL certificate secures both the primary domain (example.com) and the www subdomain (www.example.com).
- Click Continue. The Review & Checkout page appears.
- Click Checkout. The Checkout page appears.
- Under Payment Details, select the payment method that you want to use.
- Select the I have read and agree to the Terms of Service check box.
- Click Complete Order. After the order is processed, you will receive an e-mail message from Webhost.Berlin that contains the SSL voucher code.
Installing the certificate
After you receive the voucher code, you can install and activate the SSL certificate. To do this, follow these steps:
- Log in to cPanel.

- In the Security section of the cPanel home screen, click GlobalSign OneClickSSL Installer:
On the Redeem Vouchers tab, select the web site in the Select Website list box:
The web site must match the domain name that you specified when you ordered the certificate.
- In the Enter Voucher text box, type the voucher code that you received by e-mail.
- In the Enter Email text box, type an e-mail address where you can receive notifications about the certificate.
- Select the terms and conditions check box.
Click Activate SSL. The activation process begins. Make sure you stay on the web page until installation is complete:
- When the setup process finishes, click the link to test your web site. You should see the SSL lock icon in your web browser.
Revoking a certificate
You can revoke an issued SSL certificate if necessary. To do this, follow these steps:
- Log in to cPanel.

- In the Security section of the cPanel home screen, click GlobalSign OneClick SSL Installer.
- Select the Advanced SSL Options tab.
- Under Revoke a SSL Certificate, select the web site in the Select Website list box:
- In the Certificates list box, select the certificate that you want to revoke.
In the Serial number text box, type the certificate's serial number.
The certificate serial number is the long alphanumeric string listed in the Certificates list box. You can also obtain the certificate's serial number within your web browser by clicking the lock icon and viewing the certificate's information.
- Click Revoke SSL.
