Anycast DNS for shared and reseller hosting accounts
This article discusses using Anycast DNS with shared hosting and reseller hosting accounts.
About Anycast
Anycast is a network routing and addressing methodology that provides several advantages:
- Improved DNS query performance.
- Redundancy.
- Load balancing.
By default, shared hosting and reseller hosting accounts use Anycast for DNS. You do not need to do any additional configuration steps for your account to use Anycast.
The following Anycast name servers are the defaults for shared (berlin.hosting) and reseller hosting (supercp.com) accounts:

Optional: Using region-specific name servers
If you do not want to use Anycast for your account's DNS, you can optionally use specific name servers for a geographic region. You may want to do this if:
- You experience routing issues using the Anycast DNS name servers.
- You want to use a specific geographic region for your domain's DNS.
The following lists show the geographic-specific name servers and their respective IP addresses.
- These servers do not use Anycast for routing and addressing.
